1. Acceptance of terms
By engaging AS Autopy ("we", "our", "us") or by using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not engage our services or use this site.
2. Description of services
We provide open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, private investigation services, background checks, due diligence, asset and people search, corporate intelligence, and related advisory work. Services are delivered exclusively through legal, source-cited methods drawn from publicly available information.
3. Engagement and scope
Each engagement begins with a written scope of work that identifies deliverables, timelines, jurisdictions, and fees. Work outside the agreed scope requires a written amendment.
4. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate background and instructions necessary to define the scope.
- Confirm that the engagement does not violate any law or court order applicable to you.
- Use the resulting work product only for lawful purposes.
5. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential and will not disclose it except as required by law or with your written consent. Reciprocally, you agree not to disclose non-public AS Autopy methods, templates, or pricing without prior written permission.
6. Disclaimer of guarantees
OSINT work depends on the availability and accuracy of public sources. We make no guarantee that any specific fact will be found, that records will exist, or that information obtained will lead to a particular outcome. All findings are provided "as is" with their cited sources.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to an engagement shall not exceed the fees actually paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. Intellectual property
Reports and other deliverables are licensed to you for the internal use described in the scope. We retain ownership of our underlying methods, templates, and any non-client-specific know-how developed during the engagement.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement on written notice. You remain responsible for fees and reasonable expenses incurred through the date of termination. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to [Dispute Resolution Forum — e.g., binding arbitration in Dallas, Texas].
11. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its "Last updated" date, applies to engagements opened after that date.
